Description: Lovely GE Art Deco Mint Green/Black Bakelite Trinket Box, 1936-37 World's Fair It measures 5 inches long, 3 1/2 inches wide and 2 3/8 inches deep. The chrome ball on top is approximately 5/8 inch. It is in good condition. I cleaned it gently with water and a microfiber towel but there is still a little bit of residue on it. I'm hesitant to use chemicals because of it's age. See photos for surface blemishes. There are no cracks. This is stamped on the bottom GE (General Electric), FW 6. That indicates this was made for and given out at the 1936-37 World's Fair in Cleveland, Ohio. This belonged to my great aunt Elizabeth (Betty) Amy Harding, 1900-1982 of both Ann Arbor and Lansing, MI where she was a school teacher. This sat on her vanity and held cotton. balls when I was a young child. Shipping will be via priority mail and is from a smoke free, pug-loving home. A % of the proceeds will be to Alabama Pug Rescue & Adoption.
