Lot of 7 pair opera or arm length gloves…measuring from 18.5” up to 29” (completely flat and from tip of middle finger to opposite edge). These came from the estate of a woman from the Boston area who did a lot of travel to Europe in the 1940s/1950s…some are marked Made in France or Paris. Believe that these are made of kidskin. These range from white to off-white to beige in color. Some are marked inside, some have the owner’s writing inside. For the one pair of 29” is marked 7 Chevre Au Extra Trefousse & Co. with a paper label that reads Au Bon Marche Paris 79F and inside the other glove it reads Boucicaut Hors Concours Membre Jurf Paris 1900. I do not believe that this pair was ever worn as it still has its paper label and paper tissue inside and the 2 gloves are tied together with a simple stitch. The other 29” pair, it has almost identical labeling/marking inside, however, this one has 6½. Again, I do not believe that this pair was ever worn as it still has its paper label and paper tissue inside and the 2 gloves are tied together with a simple stitch. Another pair is marked Lama Lavable du Bon Marche along with a paper label that reads Au bon Marche Paris 65. The beige pair, I cannot make out the marking that is in it. Some gloves have writing in them which appears to be by the woman who wore them. For most, I do not know the size, but a few are marked as noted above. Most are in worn condition, some with discoloration of wear, some with marks/dirt on fingers/palms, a couple with stains, but are in overall very good condition. Note that I try to look things over carefully and let you know any condition issues, however, I could overlook something and don’t mention here…it may seem obvious to you, but it truly is an oversight on my part, that’s why it is important that you carefully look over the photos as these are part of description and to judge the condition for yourself.
