Description: This lot includes 3 Denver Mint Souvenir Sets from 1978, 1979 and 1980 Each set includes a Kennedy Half Dollar, Washington Quarter, Roosevelt Dime, Jefferson Nickel, Lincoln Cent and a bronze medal from the Denver Mint The five coins and one medal are sealed within individual pockets of a cellophane pack and have the original outer envelope. In 1972, the Denver Mint started selling Souvenir Sets, and the Philadelphia Mint followed in 1973. These sets were only available in each mints' gift shop following a public tour. The sets contained one example of that mints' penny, nickel, dime, quarter, and half dollar, along with a medal featuring an image of its mint. The sets were sold through 1998. They were discontinued when the 50 State Quarter Program launched. These sets can be hard to come by since they were only available in the mint gift store.
