Description: Listing is for two (2) very nice 12 oz Barqs Root Beer Bottle. Barq's Root Beer got its start in the coastal town of Biloxi in 1898 and was Mississippi's oldest soda bottling company, Edward Charles Barq (originally from New Orleans) invented the soft drink with a bite that proved to be a big hit! The Barq's bottles have changed somewhat in the 125+ years but have similar traits and that recognizable "Drink Barq's It's Good" logo. Both bottles are the standard 9 1/2" tall bottle and in good clean condition. They were rescued from a family dump found on our West Creek Wetlands homestead which was part of an old dairy farm. Both bottles are clean and is in good condition. One has some abrasion on the rows of diamonds as shown in photos but the other is in wonderful condition.. What a great piece of old Biloxi history to own and display! Please see all the photos as they best show the condition of the bottles and their wonderful features.
