Description: Lot of 2 American President Lines metal Tournament Awards. There are no missing parts and no substantial flaws other than ordinary graphite-colored oxidation (i.e., tarnish -- not rust), which gives these models charming patina (see photos) as befits their 1950s vintage. No scratches, dents or other flaws are visible. One has its presumably original green felt on the underside of its base. Details for each model are as follows: PRESIDENT WILSON: (8-5/16"L x 2-9/16"W x 2-5/16"H; weight: 1.75lbs) Inserted plaque looks very much like brass; inscribed "BRIDGE". Base and ship have a shiny, slightly reflective finish. Some small blotches (I believe oxidation) are present below the word "TOURNAMENT" and below the forward 1/3 of the ship on port and starboard sides (see photo). Felt is missing underneath the metal base; everything else that’s supposed to be present seems to be present. PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT: (8-¼"L x 2-1/16"W x 2-3/8"H; weight: 1.5lbs) No inserted plaque. Base and ship are a matte bare metal finish. Small area of oxidation on port side of base around midships (see photo) and also in various places topside. Base does not say "Tournament Award." Felt is present underneath the metal base; everything else that’s supposed to be present seems to be present. Note that these items are used, are approximately 70 years old, and are made of tarnish-prone metal. Please do not expect them to look brand new.
