Horse hide was always the hide of choice in the old days because it's one of the toughest hides extant but, when broken into a soft, buttery hand (a rapid process --wear it and wear it in the rain), never diminishes in strength. 100%Pure Nylon Satin Lining, Cotton Drill Sleeve Interlining,NOS Brass Talon Front Zipper and Pocket Zippers. All-American in production and materials, as it was and as it should be. The only defect on this jacket is that the satin lining is separating from the cotton sleeve interlining in the right side armpit. It is just the lining and not the leather(see photo). I have owned this jacket for over 30 years. I have not ridden in the last ten-plus years so the jacket has been hanging in my closet and should be worn by someone and that could be you. It is a size 48.
