Description: Sold as is Serious buyers with basic understandings only please for sale long Wakizashi in Shirasaya, Suriage, Mumei unsigned as shown in the photos, despite having some minor surface imperfections like surface scracthes and rust stains due to long term storage, the blade is overall in solid condition with no significant damages observed. Based on the work style, I personally think it was originally a Shinto period Katana, Suriage'd and used as a Wakizashi during the history. It's currently a very long blade for a Wakizashi and still almost as long as a short Katana after the Suriage. It has a neat mid Suguha style straight Hamon with a cleanly forged Jigane that has very few forging imperfection. The Boshi Hamon on the Kissaki is large and healthy, possibly can be classified as a 虎の尾返しTora-no-O-Kaeri style —— which is a classic style found on works by 三原Mihara school, more research awaiting The Habaki is solid silver and in a double layer design Overall, a handsome long Wakizashi blade, and solid candidate for a Shinsa submission Nagasa: ~55cm or 21.7inches Regarding the whatabout/quality/condition, please carefully examine all the photos and make your own best judgement, the description provided is no more than a rough personal interpretation of the item and subject to inaccuracy/ omission —— all sales are final
