Description: 1935 Burroughs-Tarzan Enterprises 12-episode serial starring Herman Brix aka Bruce Bennett as Tarzan traveling to Guatemala (actually filmed on location!) to help a friend and prevent villains from stealing an explosive potion from the natives. Ula Holt, Ashton Dearholt, Frank Baker, Lewis Sargent among the co-stars. Great border art! Note that star Herman Brix was a collegiate football and track and field star who, after getting typecast for Tarzan characters in the 1930s, changed his name to Bruce Bennett and had a highly successful film career in mostly action and crime films, with many fans not even knowing he had been Herman Brix as Tarzan. Also note that this 12-episode serial had so many production and financial problems, it is possible the actors were never paid, the story of making the series on location in Guatemala possibly more interesting than the series itself.
