Description: Rare L.M.S. Cartage Department, St.Pancras paycheck. This is struck on one side only on an oval steel planchet, approximately 48 x 27mm. It is stamped with the number 1958 . I can find no reference to Cartage Department pay check, only that there was a large stables at St.Pancras and that the LMS insisted on good treatment of their horses by the carters.
