Description: 3 LOT: THE LITTLE MERMAIDOriginal Production Animation Cel AND 2 Matching Production Drawingsof ARIEL and Flounder and Triton (Note damage below)From the 1992-1994 Walt Disney Television Cartoon, "King Crab" Episode, 1994 THIS IS DIRECTLY FROM DISNEY STORE STOCK from the 1990's! It has been in a warehouse since then!! Each is Matted and ready to frame, with Studio Seals and a Charles Scott Gallery Certificate of Authenticity Animated cartoons and features used to be created by hand - each and every frame. And most of this artwork was simple meant to be used and thrown away - so much of it is quite rare - and all of it is unique! Buying animation art allows you to own a one-of-a-kind piece of art. Some were used in earlier stages of production and some can be seen on-screen! The Little Mermaid was part of the Disney Renaissance, with the feature releasing in 1989. Shortly after, in 1992, Disney released the television cartoon based on the movie, as they did with all of their features at the time. This is a rare cel and TWO drawings - in that they have the main characters listed above! The cel has been placed on a color print background. The cel and the drawings have the Walt Disney seal and each measure approximately 9" x 10.5" under the matting.NOTE: the Ariel drawing has a rip in the upper right corner - about 2" long running along the right edge of the mat from the top (stabilized on the back with archival book-tape and barely showing in our mat) AND a hole in the lower left quadrant. The Triton drawing has a chunk missing in the upper left (again, hidden by our mat). There are some other slight folds in the drawings and they are yellowed and crinkled from age. All three have remnant edge tape from previous mounting. COA has some wear from being in the sleeve for decades (see second picture). These pieces had to be removed from the original frame and matting as prepared for sale at the Walt Disney stores, as the frame was damaged with age. So, we have placed each piece in a brand new mat...We will mount each piece in an acid-free, 4-ply paper mat that measures 11" x 14" - so you can just buy your own frame and hang it in your home gallery. We only use archival/acid-free materials in mounting your artwork. NOTE: in most cases we have not yet mounted the art in a mat, so if you wish to have us leave it unmounted let us know IMMEDIATELY when you make the purchase, as we will often mat it within minutes.
