Description: A very nice, very lightly run, Lionel 28635 New York Central NYC #8635 Die-Cast 4-4-2 Steam Engine with RailSounds Tender for O/027 gauge 3-rail made in 2003 as part of the 31940 NYC Flyer freight set. The engine #8635 features a die-cast shell, a "maintenance free" can motor, traction tire, conventional transformer control, 3 Position (Fwd-Neutral-Rev) electronic reversing with reversing lock-out switch, puffing smoke unit with on/off switch and bright headlamp. The NYC tender features RailSounds with Whistle, Bell, Engine Chuff, Brake Squeal & Crew-Tower Dialog sounds, a volume control, on/off switch, optional battery back-up power, die-cast trucks, dual electrical pick-ups, metal frame and operating rear coupler. ***Please note that a transformer (or separate) whistle/horn control is required to activate the whistle and command dialog sounds and a Bell control is required for the bell sound. No controls are required for the engine sounds and random dialog***I replaced the traction tire (old one dried/stretched), lubed the gears & rollers and then briefly tested this beautiful engine & tender on my layout and the motor, smoke unit, reversing action, headlamp and all RailSounds worked great!This engine did not come with an individual box (from set pack) but I'll provide a copy of the engine instructions and I'll wrap & pack with care prior to shipment.I will ship the day after I receive payment and I will discount shipping charges for shipments I can combine the same day.
