Description: Lionel 18632 NYC / SF Cab & Boiler SHELL "8632" with Details, NOS, EXC+, w/ switch Yes, the title says "EXC+"! I grade hard - so I cannot give this "Like New". (it's not perfect - but nearly so) YOU MIGHT be confused by the fact that I have TWO listings for this model number - but with SEVERAL different road names. It's true! Lionel made the early version for N.Y.C. AND SANTA FE WITH a feedwater heater, then later built the C & O, NYC & SANTA FE versions WITHOUT the tank on the front of the boiler!! SAME CAB NUMBER!!! THIS SHELL DOES HAVE THE FEEDWATER HEATER. Almost perfect in every way! Look over the photos for the very tiny defects. I have provided close-ups of any I have found. Headlight lens, markers, and bell details added. Simply painted in satin black - ready for you to do the final assembly process - which simply did not happen in the factory. Lettering on the cab is "8632" White side-stripe is clean and bright. Switch under left side of cab is for either smoke or sound control. It has very short wires attached.
