Description: Offering a lion head sword. Believed to be attributed to King Ludwig I . The attribution is what I have been told by at least three people at different times. Please research this for yourself for I might be incorrect. The blade has a wide fuller. This sword has numerous ciphers, etchings and symbols. Date of 1829?, the letter L with a crown above it, a drum with two flags and a bugle, a flaming bomb, several stars, J(?)L, there is also a symbol that somewhat resembles a spade on a deck of playing cards. The blade has some pittings and the edge has numerous nicks. There is movement between the blade and hilt. The wrap around the handle is frayed and exhibits some loss. Slight bend at the tip, see photo. There is no scabbard. View the photos closely for self assessment of the the condition and for the dimensions.
