Description: Complete set of 40 pure silver rounds commemorating the Civil War, in the original display book from the Lincoln Mint produced in the early 1970s. All rounds are .999 silver and weigh approx. 26 grams each, slightly less than one ounce. Every silver round is marked ".999 F.S." on the reeded edge of the coin (not visible in the photographs because the coins are embedded in the book). The total weight of the 40 rounds is approx. 1040 grams, or about 36 ounces. All rounds are in uncirculated condition. The book also comes with the original cardstock information cards for each silver round as issued by the Lincoln Mint, the instructions for inserting the rounds into the book, and a receipt for one of the rounds purchased in 1973. These came from an old estate in San Antonio Texas. Please look closely at all of the photos above for condition details and email with any questions.
