Description: . Limoges RARE Signed By Patti Canaris 82 Songbird Series "Cardinal Plate Fine. Great CONDITION No Chips or cracks .Plate is 6 1/4" wide. I bought 2 of these plates at a junk shop in shadow box frames the original owner had taped in by hand .The Patti Canaris signature looks original possibly done at some type of promotional event. I t is done in marker and covered over with a clear lacquer done at that time of the event or latter by owner to preserve signature. Last photo shows both plates in cleaning the glue off this Cardinal plates back I removed a little of the lacquer and top of her signature. I looked at the backs of all of the plates of this series on eBay and none had the signature with the 82 that is on these 2 plates. I have looked at here signature on other works by her and this look right but I am no expert in this field so it is for you to decide if her signature is correct.
