The lid rims are painted in gold. Both the bottom and top rims on the base of the Powder box is are painted in gold. Approx. Measurements: 4-1/4" x 2-1/4"Estimated Manufacture Date: 1930's. (See research info below) Powder/Trinket/Vanity Box with lid: Marked - on the bottom "Limoges France" in Capital print green. Condition: Slight gold paint loss on rims. No chips or cracks noted. In excellent vintage/antique condition.Hair receiver box with lid: Marked - on the bottom "Favorite Bavaria" in Cursive green. Condition: Slight gold paint loss on rims, more-so on the hair receiving hole on the top. No chips or cracks noted. In excellent vintage/antique condition. Estimated Manufacturing Date Research: This 'Limoges France' mark is very typical of the first half of the 1900's, when there were many small factories producing wares for the domestic and the international market. Hutschenreuther company in Bavaria, Germany. Stouffer from Adeline, Illinois was taking whiteware with a "Favorite China" backstamp and decorating it in the US. His studio, based in Chicago was in operation from 1905 - 1952. Stouffer was known to employ some of the best decorators and artisans of the time.
