Description: This is from the estate of Robert E. Lee Jr., the great grandson and namesake of General Robert E. Lee. As a direct descendant of the General, the younger Lee was fully aware of the responsibility of bearing that name. When Robert E Lee Jr’s wife passed away, in 2019 in St. Petersburg, Fl, their large home and its contents were sold. A Tag Sale was held by Castaway on December 12, 2020. The house was filled with antiques and the evidence of their many world travels. I’m including some photos of the home and sale. These are for informational use only and not part of this listing. This beautiful Limoges antique basket, made by Martial Redon, features a stunning floral pattern in shades of purple. Crafted from fine porcelain, this basket is a true work of art. The basket measures 9 inches in length and 5 inches in width (see photos for more details). The history of this piece is truly fascinating, as it was crafted in Limoges, France, a region known for its fine porcelain. Its antique status adds to its charm and makes it a unique addition to any collection. Don't miss the opportunity to own this exquisite Limoges basket. Absolutely exquisite!! 360
