She completed her studies in 1974 at the National School of Fine Arts "San Alejandro" in Havana. She has participated in international exhibitions at various art centers, such as in 1978 at the "National Museum of Fine Arts" in Havana, Cuba, in 1990 at the "Ridel Gallery" in Puerto Rico, and in 1995 at the "Metro Dade Cultural Resource Center" in Miami, Florida, USA. In 1979, she won the First Prize in Copperplate Engraving at the 1st Triennial of Engraving Víctor Manuel, at the Galería de La Habana, Cuba.
