It is too powerful for my wife as she is new to pickleball. Would recommend this paddle to someone with pickleball experience. No scrapes only Minor sticky marks left on the edge guard from the lead tape (shown in photo). I use black tape around the paddle (as seen in photo) to protect the paddles edge.
