Description: Product OverviewThe 451 submersible sump pump features an integral wide-angle float (WAI) switch. With a wide-angle float, the float is attached to the pump with a tether. This tether length is what determines your on/off level. As your sump basin fills, the float tips upwards, tripping the switch to turn the pump on. A wide-angle float is a great option for larger basins as the tether is typically adjustable to your basin space. The 1/2 horsepower motor is oil-filled and thermally protected, offers quiet operation and is built to last. The deep finned outer shell is powder-coated aluminum which provides more cooling capacity than cast iron housing. Have no fear if dirt and debris are mixed into your water. The 451 is equipped with 3/8" solids handling - reducing larger debris form entering the pump. A pump that offers solids handling allows solid particles and other materials through (up to 3/8" with the 451 pump), while transporting fluids. This sump pump has a 34' max. head, auto shut off. The 451 also has a high capacity flow rate. As an example, at 10 ft. head, this pump will direct about 43 gallons a minute up and out of your space! At 11.2" high this sump pump sits at the bottom of your sump basin and will switch on when the float rises to 90°. The depth of your sump basin should be at least 12" from the surface the pump is resting on with a minimum 14" diameter. Of course a larger basin would allow for a longer pump cycle and increase the longevity of your float switch. It includes a removeable base that allows for suction down to 1/8" automatically turns off when the float is the bottom of the basin. The 451 includes a quick-connect 10' cord. Keep you sump pump basin covered to prevent debris and other foreign objects from getting into the basin. Item may differ in appearance from photo shown.
