Description: The NOCTILUX-M is the world's first F/1 lens for 35mm cameras that has been mass produced. Because of this extraordinary optical performance it is eminently suited not only for photographing at twilight, but for night photography without a flash - the light of a single candle can be sufficient. It produces outstanding contrast rendition, so that barely noticeable color differences are faithfully separated and the finest details are resolved accurately. The optical computation of this super-fast lens approaches the limits of what is physically possible. Angle of view: 45 degrees 7 elements in 6 groups Smallest aperture: 16 Close focusing: 39 inches. It has a maximum aperture of f/1.0, which allows for amazing low-light shots and super shallow depth of field. The lens is made in Canada and comes with a built-in lens hood as well as front and back caps. It is compatible with Leica M mount, and with an adapter can be used on digital mirrorless camera bodies. I purchased this almost a year ago from KEH, and they graded it as EX.
