Description: I got this set as a kid back when it was first released and am selling it now to make room for other Legos. The set has mostly sat in storage, disassembled, over the years. Recently put it together to take pictures for selling, and the set still works great. The pneumatic functions still work great with the original hoses. All the gears and functions of the truck also work really well. When I was putting in the really long axles I did notice that it was hard to turn the axle for some reason, but once I got it all connected to the gears they all worked perfectly. This version also came with some alternate pieces for some reason. The Axle Connector 2L pieces have ridges in the instructions, but the pieces in the set do not have ridges. It's always been like that, they aren't replacement pieces. The tow rope has been replaced with another rope from Lego. I can't remember if it is the exact same kind of rope, but the one included here is an official Lego rope. The stickers are all original and for the most part are in really good condition. You'll see in the pictures that the license plate and one of the steel-like stickers are falling apart, but all the others look great. The instructions are in pretty good condition, but I believe there is one or two pages on the inside of the books that are falling out. But there aren't really any big rips or tears, and the instructions for the alternate build are like new. Feel free to ask any questions!
