In all 23 signatures. 8x11, 200 pages. Souvenir program book for the 1998 GTE Classic at the Tournament Players Club of Tampa Bay, an event on the PGA Senior Tour (limited to golfers over age 50, and since renamed the Champions Tour). Signed by each golfer on his full-page action photo. (The unidentified signer has signed on an otherwise blank page reserved for autographs!) LEE TREVINO (b. 1939), known as "SuperMex", won 27 PGA tournaments, including six major championships: the U.S. Open (1968, 1971), the British Open (1971, 1972) and the PGA Championship (1974, 1984). After joining the Senior Tour (now the Champions Tour) in 1990, he surpassed his PGA totals, winning 29 tournaments. Also a member of seven Ryder Cup teams (and Captain of the U.S. Ryder Cup team in 1985), Trevino was inducted into the PGA's World Golf Hall of Fame in 1981. RAY FLOYD (b . 1942), who turned pro in 1961, racked up 22 PGA tour victories, including two PGA Championships (1969, 1982), the 1976 Masters and the 1986 U.S. Open. Floyd indeed ran away with the Masters in 1976, tying Jack Nicklaus' record of 17 strokes under par for the tournament and finishing 8 strokes ahead of runner up Ben Crenshaw. He won 14 more events on the Champions Tour before retiring from competitive golf in 2010. DAVE STOCKTON (b. 1941) is considered one of the legends of golf. He was the captain of the victorious U.S. Ryder Cup team at Kiawah Island, South Carolina in 1991. Additionally, he was a member of two other Ryder Cup teams and two World Cup teams. Currently he is over the 10 million dollar mark in career earnings. A Professional since 1964 and known since the 1970s as the "king of corporate outings" due to 90 corporate and motivational days per year, his career accomplishments include five major championships (two PGA Championships, 1996 Senior Open & two Senior Player Championships), 11 tournament victories on the PGA Tour and 14 wins on the Senior PGA Tour.Left-handed New Zealander BOB CHARLES (b. 1936) had six PGA Tour victories, including the British Open (1963), which he describes as the greatest thrill of his career, and won 23 Champions Tour events. Charles, who designed two golf courses (the 18-hole Millbrook and Matarangi, a nine-hole course) in New Zealand, was knighted in 1999. JIM DENT (b. 1939) has won more than $6 million in his professional golfing career. He surpassed the $5 million mark in earnings on the Senior Tour in 1997. He turned professional in 1966, joined the PGA Tour in 1970 and began his senior career in 1989. Dent has 12 Senior PGA victories including the Home Depot Invitational in 1998. BOB EASTWOOD (b. 1946) turned pro in 1969 and has competed in 270 events. He has won three PGA Tour tournaments (two in 1984 and the Byron Nelson Classic in 1985) and captured two titles on the Senior Tour (both in 1997). BOB MURPHY (b. 1943) who turned pro in 1967, had five PGA Tour victories and racked up 11 Champions Tour wins as well as two international victories and five additional wins, including the 1965 U.S. Amateur Championship. Also a member of the 1975 Ryder Cup team, Murphy has also served as a sports analyst for both NBC and ESPN. Robert JAY SIGEL (b. 1943) was one of America's finest amateur golfers, winning back-to-back U.S. Amateur crowns (1982, 1983). Having remained an amateur until 1994, Sigel was the Senior Tour Rookie of the Year that season. Hel set a course record of 62 at the 1998 Bell Atlantic Classic, and he also fired a career best 10-under 61 at the EMC Kaanapali Classic in Hawaii. Named "2000 Most Courageous Athlete" by the Philadelphia Sportswriters Association and "2002 Comeback Player of the Year" by "GOLF World" magazine. American golfer, JOHN JACOBS (b. 1945) began his professional career in 1967. Having played on the PGA tour from 1968-1977, Jacobs never won an official event, but he did finish in second place three times. In 1955 he began to see much more success, winning a major championship on the Champions Tour as a senior player, going on to earn 10 more professional wins and more than 70 top-10 finishes. South African HUGH BAIOCCHI (b. 1946) competed on the European Tour from 1972 to 1993, winning seven events and receiving the Tour's Order of Merit award. He has won three tournaments on the Champions Tour, and earned further recognition as a golf course designer. His daughter Lauren is married to US baseball Hall of Famer Johnny Bench. DAVE EICHELBERGER (b. 1943) has won 12 pro tournaments, including 4 on the PGA Tour and 6 more on the Champions Tour. Argentinian golfer VICENTE FERNANDEZ (b. 1946) has won over 60 tournaments worldwide. After competing for more than two decades on the European Tour, he joined the Champions tour in 1993 (scoring 4 wins there). South African SIMON HOBDAY competed successfully on the South African and European tours before joining the Champions Tour in 1993. He quickly notched 3 more victories, including the US Senior Open in 1994. JACK KIEFER (1940-1999), a teaching and club professional, notched two victories in the Champions Tour (1994, 1997), and also set the Tour's record with 97 straight holes with a par or better. He died of cancer in 1999. Australian GRAHAM MARSH (b. 1944) won events in four tours: the Australasian, Japanese, European, and US PGA. He won the US Senior Open in 1997, and the Japan Senior Open twice. His brother Rod is a star Australian cricket player and coach. JERRY McGEE (1943-2021) won four PGA Tour events in the late 1970s, and played for the US Ryder Cup team in 1977, but illness and injury compelled his retirement from the tour in 1981. After years as a club professional, he joined the Champions Tour in 1993. His daughter in law is LPGA champion Annika Sorenstam. GIL MORGAN (b. 1946) won 7 PGA tournaments between 1977 and 1990, and played for the US Ryder Cup teams of 1977 and 1981. He has achieved even more on the Champions Tour: 25 wins since 1996. WALTER MORGAN (b. 1941) spent twenty years in the U.S. Army, including two tours in Vietnam, and didn't play golf until the age of 30. He joined the Champions Tour, and won 3 events. He was named Comeback Player of the Year in 1995, but arthritis forced his retirement in 2004. JOHN BLAND (b. 1945) was a consistent winner on the tour in his native South Africa, and won over 30 tournaments worldwide. He has notched 5 wins on the Champions Tour, including 4 in 1996. BRUCE SUMMERHAYS (b. 1944) must have felt right at home in Tampa Bay, since he is President of the LDS Mission there. Summerhays played mostly in local tournaments in his younger days, but has notched three triumphs on the Champions Tour, and over $9 million in earnings. Corners lightly worn.
