Description: Manufactured by Livesley, Powell, & Co (L.P. & Co) from 1851 to 1862 in Stoke on Trent, Laurel features Green scroll work and yellow flowers on the band and a center medallion. I found these plates in the bottom of an old cupboard under a stack of other plates at an estate sale. The plates have some age-related wear such as all-over crazing, a couple of small cracks, a small chip or two, some discoloration, and minor glaze flaws as is common on old ironstone. As a collector of antique Mason's ironstone myself, these imperfections shouldn't matter as they are just signs of age and an error gone by. For being over 170 years old the three 9.75" plates have stood the test of time. Please Note: Before I list an item for sale, I do extensive research to identify its origin, pattern, date manufactured, and authenticity. I also inspect each item very closely and disclose any imperfections I see, but my items are mostly vintage, gently used pieces, and there may be a flaw I missed or even a mistaken pattern name or manufacturer given. I never purposely intend to mislead, but I’m not perfect so please look very closely at all the photographs as they are part of the description just to ensure you know what you are buying.
