Description: An excellent print of the Grand-Place and Town Hall of Brussels. Printed in Brussels circa 1800. The print is in remarkably good shape given it's age. The engraver is listed as Courtois which could be Pierre Francis Courtois if the printer used a pre-existing engraving to produce this etching. This was issued by "Bruxelles Chez Terry, Marchand d' Estampes." Based on the address of the printer, and the name used by the business - this would place the production date around 1800. The image is very sharp (refer to close up on details) and the paper is in exceptional shape. Moreover, this would appear to be a scarce image, as the only other reference I could find on line was that the image was included in a history book of Brussels published in the 1880s. PLEASE NOTE THIS PRINT WILL BE SHIPPED UNFRAMED. This item is being sold on behalf of Maple Knoll Village Senior Community, ReRun Shop (non-profit store) in Cincinnati, OH.
