Description: Lovely late 18th century Battersea Box/ Bilston box. Often referred to as a Patch Box, it would often have been used for storing tiny colorful shapes that fashionable aristocrats would place on their face to hide blemishes and pox marks. Made from enamel tin, small and ical with a hinged lid . Has its original mirror in the inside of the lid. It measures 1 3/4 inches across by 1 7/8 inches tall. Originates from England. Lovely light blue with a sentimental saying in the lid. Excellent condition with a few spots of light surface wear/ loss. Buyer pays shipping.
