LAST CHANCE! REPAIR Vintage 1960's Floral Brocade Satin Dress Jacket Hong Kong

Description: Incredible Asian Hand-Tailored Dress & Short Jacket by Pee-X Clothiers, a boutique inside Hong Kong's Ambassador Hotel in Kowloon which opened in 1961. Hand Tailored, the garments show extraordinary workmanship. Constructed of heavy cream & gold satin brocade (silk?) in a cherry blossom design, the dress has a notched scoop neckline accented w/ fancy ribbon button closures, darts for shaping & a rear slit. The short jacket has a giant collar & 5 more frog closures (front & cuffs).Condition - I took this dress to be stain-treated and dry-cleaned w/ mixed results. The heat dissolved some of the stitches holding the frog closures & hem which now need to be repaired. There is still a stain on the front hem of the dress (shorten it?) & a couple tiny spots on the back. The dress zipper is finicky & has torn the inside lining but if you're patient and gentle it does work. Back slit stitching is loose. Light stains on the inside lining. The jacket also has a few small stains. Dress sold AS IS - it is beautiful & can be reborn but needs lots of TLC.
