Description: Larry Allen is a Leeds, Alabama-based ceramic artist and founder of LA Pottery. He has been a working artist for more than 35 years, drawing inspiration from African and Native American art. His work is created from a special black stoneware clay, each piece receiving multiple glazings and firings. This piece was made in 2007 and showcases a beautiful red glaze with blue peaking out underneath and also on the inside. The piece also has carved out designs near the top portion of the vase.
