Description: At auction is a large and heavy vintage modernist blown glass sommerso vase, with a stylized, lobed design and petal-like rim in reddish glass submerged in amber; designed by Archimede Seguso, Italy, circa ‘50s. Measurements: Approximately 13 ¼” tall and about 6” at its widest diameter. Condition: Very good used vintage condition with some stray suface scratches and signs of age and handling, but no detractors. There is expected table wear on the bottom, and a few tiny dinks around the edge of the pontil. Marks: Retains a partial red and gold foil label, ‘MADE IN MURANO ITALY.’ Please see my other auctions for more mid-Century modern design, vintage decorative pieces and jewelry.
