It holds more than 6 pints or 3.5 litres, that's nearly 20 cups of tea. Its large black Bakelite handle was designed to be heat resistant and strong enough to help carry the kettle when it is full of hot water. A delightful piece of French kitchenalia which look great on display and could also be practical for use. It will look marvelous in any kitchen, especially if you have a French vintage or mid century style. An ideal gift idea and a wonderful opportunity to have this charming kettle in your home. It could also be the perfect prop for a stage, tv or period film production. I have sold similar to production companies in the past. In VERY GOOD vintage condition; great for its age and with just a couple of life's expected knocks and bumps, like us all. There are signs of age, including dark stains on the underside, these may clean off but I haven't attempted more than a light clean.
