Description: This listing is for an Art Deco 8 1/2" tall cobalt blue glass vase. Very hard to get a good photo, but when you see sunlight coming through it, it makes you catch your breath. This piece is unmarked, but my research indicates this is likely a piece from the Louis Glass Company of West Virginia. The Louie Glass Company was established in Weston, West Virginia to produce quality, hand-formed, mouth-blown stemware and glass articles. Founded by Austrian native Louie Wohinc and fellow immigrant glass workers, Louie Glass manufactured colorless and colored stemware, tumblers, vases, pitchers, and many other products which were sold by the hundreds of thousands to glass jobbers and decorators. When Louie died in 1950, his daughter Margaret managed the company as president from 1950 until it was sold in 1972 to Princess House, which had long been a major buyer of Louie Glass for its home party sales plan. No chips, cracks, or evidence of unusual wear - an absolutely stunningly beautiful example of Art Deco decor. Will be wrapped with care and shipped with GOBS of packing material. I am listing many other items on eBay, including many pieces of vintage and antique glass and Art Deco vases. Please check my other items, as I will be happy to combine shipping. I do not accept returns. Please examine the photos and description carefully, and ask questions if you are unsure. ABSOLUTELY NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES.
