Description: Hello and thank you for looking at my listing. A little background to this large 101 style negative, about 3.5" x 3.5" from 1899. This type of negative can make large wonderful printed photos, ready for framing, very detailed. A couple of years ago I bought a storage locker at an auction and found old photo albums with photos from 1899 in a beautiful steamer trunk. Some of the pictures had enough description to trace back their history: Starting in 1899, Mr. Carpenter, a wealthy industrialist from Colorado Springs, CO (probably in the shoe manufacturing business) traveled with his family to take a long trip from Bar Harbor, Maine to Charleston, SC to various places in Florida . He would take his Kodak camera and take pictures. The photos and the albums sold a couple of years ago on eBay, but now I found the NEGATIVES!!! ATTENTION PLEASE: You are bidding for the NEGATIVE only, seen in pic #2 ! Picture #1 is a black and white photo made with my free Filmbox app on the phone, it is not part of the auction. Picture #3 is also not part of this auction, just for fun I colorized the picture using the same FREE app. All pictures are low resolution for eBay, but you can also get really high resolution from the same app. All NEGATIVES are from this wonderful EASTMAN NEGATIVE ALBUM, with description on the sleeves. Again, the NEGATIVE ALBUM is not part of this listing, it just shows the source and helps to authenticate the year and the place. I am not a historian, just a collector.
