Made in *USA* ACRYLIC ~ UV resistant with continuous operating temperature up to 90˚C and transmittance of 92% (application dependent). Acrylic spheres are available in Clear, White, Bronze(brownish) or Smoke(grayish). Frosted Acrylic (Visual Comfort) - UV resistant with continuous operating temperature up to 90˚C and transmittance of 90% to 94% (application dependent). Frosted Acrylic incorporates microsphere technology giving it a unique glare reducing aesthetic while also producing a highly efficient distribution. ACRYLIC IS A MATERIAL WITH UNSURPASSED RESISTANCE TO WEATHERING AND AGING. Acrylic has exceptional brilliance, which does not diminish even after prolonged use thanks to the optimum surface hardness. Approximately 10 times more resistant than glass. More likely to chip and less impact resistance than Polycarbonate. Less likely to scratch than Polycarbonate. DOES NOT Yellow After time. Better clarity than Polycarbonate and can be restored to optical clarity. POLYCARBONATE ~ UV stabilized with continuous operating temperature of 100˚C to 125˚C and high impact resistance down to -40˚C, transmittance of 88% (application dependent). Polycarbonate spheres are available in clear, white, bronze or smoke. Approximately 30 times more resistant than glass. Impact/chip resistance is much higher. More likely to scratch than Acrylic. More flexible/bendable than Acrylic. Easier to work with and cut ~ Less likely to break. Will yellow over time due to Ultraviolet Rays. Poorer clarity than Acrylic.
