Description: This is a rare May 19th, 1958 programme (playbill) from the Original West End production of the LANGSTON HUGHES and DAVID MARTIN "All-Negro" musical comedy "SIMPLY HEAVENLY" at the Adelphi Theatre in London. (The London production opened May 20th, 1958 and closed after only 23 performances. The original production opened May 21st, 1957 at New York's Off-Broadway 85th Street Playhouse and ran for 44 performances before moving on August 20th, 1957 to the Playhouse Theatre where the show played an additional 62 performances.) .....
