Description: Unusual and rare collection of seven books that were gifted to a Donnelley & Sons employee over his tenure with the company. These unread books also contain two business cards gifting them "with compliments of the season" by CFO Charles C Haffner Jr. Haffner was CFO beginning in 1952. The cards alone have appeal because Charles was a Major General during World II and Commander of the 103rd Infantry Division in Europe From 1942-1945. He was awarded the Army Distinguished Service Medal and his portrait hangs in the National Gallery. The books: All appear unread and completely unmarked. The Covers are clean with a couple if them having light spotting. The spotting looks worse in photos than actually are in the one or two books. Gold gilded tops. See photos. The collection: Uncle Dick Wootton-1957 Two Views of Gettysburg-1964 The Siege of Detroit- 1958 Hardtack & Coffee-1963 Voyage To The Northwest Coast of America- 1960 Private Smith's Journal- 1954 Milford's Memoir - 1956 Please review photos.
