"Minos" series by Bertil Vallen has a shape inspired by the Balloton (balloon) vases of Venini, with a pattern of vertical pseudo-ribs. Vallien used antique gold vertical linesto divide the 'ribs', which are filled with verticallly aligned almost-rectangles of pale blue opalescence. Also has a subtle favrile finish on the darker areas.The vase comes in different colors and sizes; the opalescent ones are the most rare of this popular design. This one at 6"h is in the middle size-wise. About 5.5"w at the shoulders. Near mint condition without damage or issues. Has a Kosta-Boda label as well as a 4 line signature across the center bottom.
