You are buying a genuine replacement KitchenAid 5 qt. wire whip attachment only. This attachment was manufactured by Whirlpool for KitchenAid in the 1990s to 2000s. It was designed to work with the K5SS 5 quart bowl lift stand mixer as well as it will fit the older K5-A, 5 quart stand mixer. This is the third generation of the stainless wire whip and was introduced with the late model K5SS mixers. It has large tapered top crown and tapered wires. It also older KitchenAid mixers made by Hobart so long as the mixer is a 5 quart narrow bowl, older style stand mixer with bowl lift arms. It has the large locking hub at the top of the whip. This whip will not work with any tilt head mixers or newer wide bowl lift stand mixers. If you have an older K5-A or K5SS, 5 quart stand mixer made by Hobart or a newer KitchenAid made by Whirlpool, genuine KitchenAid replacement whip, then this is the right listing for you.
