King George V & Queen Mary Coronation (1911) - Wedgwood Pottery Beaker

Description: *** I SHIP TO ADDRESSES IN THE USA ONLY *** This stunning Pottery Beaker was manufactured by Wedgwood to commemorate the CORONATION of THEIR MAJESTIES KING GEORGE V AND QUEEN MARY in 1911. The design consists of a decal transfer of the King's Royal Arms in a beautiful shade of navy blue. On the reverse is laurel that surrounds the commemoration, "A SOUVENIR OF THE CORONATION OF KING GEORGE V AND QUEEN MARY JUNE 22ND 1911", a decal transfer shown in navy blue. Around the upper rim is a decal transfer of a laurel, also in navy blue, with a banner that is interwoven in the laurel, on which the commemoration is shown as, "KING GEORGE V AND QUEEN MARY CROWNED AT WESTMINSTER ABBEY JUNE 22ND 1911 KING OF GREAT BRITAIN AND IRELAND AND DOMINIONS BEYOND THE SEAS EMPEROR OF INDIA". The underside is back-stamped with the Wedgwood manufacturing information. This piece is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. There is a "flea bite" under the bottom rim on the side of the beaker that bears the commemoration. This is a stunning beaker. This will be a delightful addition to your collection.
