Description: High quality relay buffer to interface between Kenwood TS-2000 radio and will key *any VHF/UHF amplifier.The Kenwood TS-2000 can only provide for a small amount of current on the external amplifier keying output. Our box will key ANY amplifier and isolate the sensitive keying circuit inside the TS-2000 This relay interface box has the proper pin angle plug to connect into the Ext. Control jack on the back of the TS-2000 for keying VHF and UHF amps (NO HF amplifier switching). This can also be used to switch mast mounted RF preamplifiers (preamps) instead of an RF power amplifier. When you are on 6M (50 Mhz) only the 50 MHz amplifier output jack is switched When you are on 2M (144 Mhz) only the 144 MHz amplifier output jack is switched When you are on 70cm (430 Mhz) only the 430 MHz amplifier output jack is switched When you are on 23cm (1200 Mhz) only the 1200 MHz amplifier output jack is switched * Any device or amplifier that needs a closure of contacts to activate What else can we do with this? Let's say you have no interest in 1200 MHz but need an extra connector to be keyed when one two or all three of the other bands are activated. You can email me immediately after your purchase and tell me for example: "Hey Radiodan, when I key 144 MHz, I need the 1200 MHz connector to also provide a closure". Or maybe you might say "when I transmit on the 144 MHz band, I also need the 1200 MHz connector to provide a closure AND when I transmit on the 50 MHz band I also need the 430 MHz connector to provide a closure" Remember, ALL four RCA connector are completely independent connections and are not connected together in any way (EACH RCA connector, both center and outside is isolated from everything else). The standard model is each band ONLY keys that band RCA connector. Can I change the timing of any connector to provide a delay? NO. When you transmit on a band, the corresponding RCA connector provides a closure from center to outside of that band RCA jack.
