Description: Kees Walking Sprinkler XA-L Model Fully Restored. The XA-L was considered Kees Sprinkler's (Sister company to National in Beatrice, NE) flagship model. It's commonly found in Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, Kansas, Texas, and many other states. This was a full strip down restoration. All components were cleaned and inspected. Those that needed replaced were replaced. The lower bushing (S1160) was replaced by my double o-ring lower bushing and new retaining screw and washer. The worm gear is in great shape, but the bull gear (S1260) is starting to delaminate, which is really typical. However, metal gears are impossible to find and I figured it had enough life to continue for a few years. The sprinkler will come with a new Nylon gear and I’m happy to install it upon request before shipping. New hose, fitting, stainless steel clamps, and lower access hose mount and gasket were replaced. All other unmentioned parts were reused. After full disassemble, all parts were stripped of paint using a stripper, cleaned, and prepped. A two part 2k epoxy primer was used on all parts. The color scheme was based off the original Kees scheme. Finally, the sprinkler was assembled with attention to lubrication and many fasteners were treated with anti-seize lubricant.
