SPECIMEN COLLECTED in October, 2011 by myself. DISPLAY QUALITY & EXCELLENT FLUORESCENT SPECIMEN!!! This specimen is an excellent example of Diopside (fl. blue/white SW) and Wollastonite (fl. burnt orange SW) from the White Knob Quarry, Lucerne Valley, San Bernardino County, California, USA. FANTASTIC example of these fluorescent species from this locale! The wollastonite forms eyes within the diopside, very attractive in person, and I surely did not capture the fluorescence well. It's out of this world in person! VERY RICH!!!!!!!!! Displays wonderfully. The size of the specimen is 5" (12.5 cm) by 3" (7.5 cm) by 2" (5 cm), a Cabinet sized and quality specimen.
