Description: This is a very large Elk antler dog chew from the mid beam area of an elk antler. This means it is still pretty thick walled at one end and thinner at the other. Lots of porous core that is a little easier to get to than a base piece. This one weighs 1 lb. These base pieces are the longest lasting part of an elk antler and have thick outer walls. It still has a large core area that the dogs love. It is the actual chew for sale. This size of a chew will last even the toughest chewers much longer than the average "large or jumbo chew" Check out the dimensions on these compared with other antler chews. They are expensive but in the long run they will last longer and there is much less worry about a possesive dog trying to swallow it. I have removed all sharp edges. These provide great minerals for the dog and they are long lasting. Best of all the dogs love them and there is not a noticeable smell. Also these do not splinter like some other bones. Please note that when these get worked down to where a dog could swallow them you should take them away That could take months to a year with one of these. These are all 100% naturally shed antlers many of which my lab and I collect ourselves the rest are purchased from local shed hunters. They are not treated in any way. Warning: Antlers can and do cause slab fractures on some dogs. Anything hard has the potential to do this so keep this in mind and supervise your dog when chewing these.
