Description: Spanish-born artist- JULIO DE DIEGO - Original & RARE, c. 1940 A “lyrical” painter in his own words. De Diego arrived in the United States in 1924 and settled in Chicago two years later. The Art Institute of Chicago held a one man show for De Diego in 1935. Third husband of Gypsy Rose Lee and the two worked carnivals together. After their divorce, De Diego settled in California. This is an original charcoal drawing and it is in very good condition.
