He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Eduard von Engerth and Carl Wurzinger, where he received an overall study award.Büche portrayed many members of the Austrian imperial family and other distinguished personalities.From 1881 to 1901 he worked in Innsbruck, Tyrol. In 1883 he became a member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus, The Association of Austrian Artists.
