Johnson Evinrude Vacturi Carburetor 1930s outboard motor

Description: This outboard engine carburetor is in good condition one gouge on side,no problem. This is a rare find to fit a outboard motor or make a great display for a parts enthusiast.the venturi throat is smooth and allow good air flow. Air flowing thru the intake,when restricted at the throat produces low air pressure or a small vacuum sucking the fuel into the engine. ( atmospheric pressure of 14.7 pounds per square inch enters the lower pressure area at the throat.). Did not open this carburetor. Have an A&P license. Never used it on aircraft. Have rebuilt a number of 4 barrel carbs. Check out the photos and if any problems I would have pointed them out and not make you guess. Is this the fist venturi design carb?
