Third part of some signatures with some worming signs in matching spots, possibly from before the book was bound. Ex-library with usual markings, including bookplate on front pastedown with ink deaccession stamp, and institutional stamp on recto and verso of title page, with verso having ink deaccession stamp, ink number to head of a2. NOTES First Edition Variant, with a2r, lines 3-4 reading "of Connington | Knight and Baronet," and line 3 from bottom reads: "bee," page 249 misnumbered "146" with a reading in line 1 of "little." The Historie of Tithes argues that lay tithes are historically voluntary and not, as was currently the case, payable by divine right.
