Description: Beautiful Vintage Set of John Stoddard's Lectures from the early 1900s (dated 1905), Copyright late 1800s. Set contains 12 books and includes books (Lectures) 1, 3-10, and 3 supplementary books (does not include book #2). Leather on spine and corners, marbled boards. Black and white illustrations throughout. These books do show moderate to heavy wear, the spines and corners are fraying. Heavy corner and moderate edge wear. Most bindings are good and pages intact. The pages are pretty clean and not folded/marred. The leather is quite dry, cracking, and disintegrating. Do expect the ruddy brick color to stain any fabric it comes in contact with. Boards on the spines are fragile and three are cracked 1/2 way down the spine. Brittle. These will be packed with care and in bubble wrap, however, even with gentle handling, additional fractures along the spines are likely. First few pages from one of the supplementary volumes are detached. The cover of Vol VI is separating (see photo). Very fragile, additional imperfections should be expected. Heavy set (each book weighing just over 2Lb), will be shipped via Media Mail. *Please also view our many other great book listings!
