Joe South: Walk A Mile In My Shoes 1969 Capitol 2704 Scranton H-1/H-1 Press VG

Description: For sale is a 45 RPM vinyl single from Joe South & The Believers titled "Walk A Mile In My Shoes b/w Shelter", originally released in 1969 by Capitol Records. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve, then into a storage box for seven inch 45 RPM vinyl records, that was kept under optimum conditions for both temperature and humidity until today. The archival inner sleeve is graded as Near Mint. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched the matrix numbers H-1/H-1, followed by a machine stamped "IAM" inside a triangle (IAM stands for the International Association of Machinists, whose union members worked at Capitol's record plant), indicating that early stampers were used to make this record at Capitol Record's pressing plant, located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. The vinyl is visually graded as Very Good Plus because of superficial sleeve marks, but with surfaces that are shiny and bright, in a like-new condition, without any surface scratches, scuffs or smudges. I'm play grading this record between Very Good (Side Two) and Very Good Plus (Side One) because of low levels of surface noise and an occasional pop on Side Two, none of which over-powers the vocals or the music. It plays all the way through without any pops, skips or lock-ups from start to finish. This would be a welcome addition to anyone's collection.
