Description: This Jim Shore Heartwood Creek “Two by Two, God Loves All of You” collectible angel figurine was released in 2011 and is now retired. It is in near perfect condition. This piece is rendered in resin in Shore’s unmistakable style, with colorful motifs inspired by nostalgic American and European arts and crafts. It features a guardian angel gently cradling Noah’s Ark in her arms. Standing with his wife, Noah waves farewell as creatures of all kinds spill down in pairs across the figure’s skirt, leaving the ark after the flood waters receded. The back is decorated in one of Shore’s signature quilt patterns, and his intricately carved forms overall add depth and texture to the piece. The angel’s wire halo and a dove with an olive branch perched on her wing complete the charming design. Standing 9.5” tall, the figurine measures 5” wide and 4” long. With a weight of 1 pound 6 ounces, it is a solid and substantial piece. The colors are strong with no loss or fading, and the maker’s marks on the bottom are crisp and clear. A very little light scuffing on the back of the angel’s shirt and a bit of shelf ware on the bottom (please see the photos) are the only evidence of more than a decade of careful display. A slight bulge in the center of the base, which causes the figurine to rock slightly, seems to be original and does not affect the stability of the piece.
