Description: This glass marble was created by Jim Davis, one of the early pioneers in the contemporary art glass marble movement. This piece was created in the 1980's (or possibly 1990's). It is signed "JD" (rare to find signed early Jim Davis marbles) with the year (it looks to be 1980's, but am not certain) and also has two stars below the date. I was told by the seller, at the time of purchase, that the two stars signified a 'premium' piece. Since I didn't purchase this directly from the artist, I can not validate the accuracy of the meaning of the two **. I purchased this marble from Bert "MarbleBert" Cohen in the early 2000's.
